Description of the facilities in Caravelle Cottage
Caravelle Cottage is a single-storey traditional French gite / cottage with 3 bedrooms, set within the small family-run Bellefontaine Park complex in tranquil Normandy countryside.
The cottages (in total 10) are comfortably spread around the park enabling quiet time to admire the amazing views / read a book, sunbathe or just chill-out OR you can join in with other holiday-makers, (or let the kids do so) the choice is yours!
Features:
The cottage has undergone some major refurbishment during Winter 07/08, and has new rendering, external paintwork and new internal doors. Plus, a hydrotherapy shower and new toilet fittings have all been added.
Private terrace
for sitting out - lovely bench and table and chairs for sitting out and enjoying the wonderful views and soaking up the ambience of the park. Also private parking space next to the cottage for your convenience.
Kitchen: small but well equiped with : fridge/freezer, cooker/oven, microwave, coffee- maker, toaster, cutlery/crockery and authentic French bread bin for your daily baguette! Iron/ironing board. Worksurfaces for preparing food /tea etc. Wonderful view of the park as you make your morning coffee!
Lounge/dining room :
Open fire with stone fire place; traditional oak furniture and large sofa bed which is suitable for occasional use. 2 chairs, large dining table and chairs; Bookcase with English books, games etc. Radio. . French and English sockets in this area. Also a large fireguard available to ensure safety around the open fire.
NB Please note that during school holidays there is access to Sky tv within the clubhouse, and a mini cinema.
Master bedroom with double bed sympathetically furnished, bedside table, lamp and large mirror; view down to the orchard.
Bunk Bedroom
Overlooking the park. Bunks are adult size, very comfy and roomy (so I am reliably informed by my nieces!) Each bunk has a little reading light on the wall, so no fighting about who wants the light on, and who doesn't!
Twin bedroom
with single beds, bedside table and lamp, again overlooking the park. Also, reading /night lights available.
Each bedroom has ample wardrobe space, with both hanging bar and a shelved area in all rooms. There are also a couple of spare pillows and blankets. Bed linen is included in your rental fee, and your beds will be made up on arrival.
Bathroom
with a hydrotherapy shower unit (fabulous jets of every type, and a seat for comfort!) with new tiling throughout, baby bath, sink and bathroom cupboard with ample space and shaver socket; separate toilet, recently installed.
Electric heaters throughout the property.
Travel cot and highchair available via the park owners for a small fee - must be requested in advance, or bring your own!
Access: Not really suitable for wheelchair use due to access downhill via gentle incline to the cottage and the lip on the front door. However, those with limited mobility should be fine (I use a stick myself), the shower has a small step up and in. To access the club there are a couple of steps from the grassed area, and around 5 or 6 steps down from the car park. Park Facilities:
Facilities Open at Peak Times - School Holidays and Special Events
Outside: Swimming pool (outdoor-summer), outdoor play area, practice golf hole, petanque, acres of space to run, walk, do cartwheels!
Indoors: mini cinema, pool room with tv, games-room with table football, sit in car game, and childrens play-room. *Spa room with sauna, hot tub and exercise equipment, *wii for use in the cinema area. Free wifi at clubhouse.
Clubhouse/bar (food served daily) with big screen and Sky tv. *Beautician and masseuse can visit on request.

During the off peak season facilities are limited, which is reflected in the price during that time.
